Concert Review: Stars with guests Young and Sexy

Well, Young and Sexy is going thru a change in members, so there was no drummer or bass player. There were 3 people on stage, a guy with an acoustic who sang, a girl who didn't play anything who sang, and a lead guitarist. Now this sounds like it wouldn't be all that good, but it was amazing. They were so talented. The vocals were incredible and the acoustic guitar, well I just love acoustic guitar. The songs were solid and they turned out to be really nice people. We went up and talked to the lead singer, Paul, after the show and it turns out he's from the Saskatoon area. Small world. Anyway we gave him a demo of our stuff. It was cool.

Stars were freaking awesome. These guys know how to write songs. The arrangements were so perfect, and executed just as well as on the CD. They sounded amazing. Such catchy melodic basslines, such beautiful harmonies, such perfect drumming. The guitar came in just at the right spots and didn't overtake the songs, the keyboards were nicely placed to spice things up a bit. Overall an incredible show. See these guys if you get a chance to. We went up after the show and talked to Amy, the guitarist/vocalist and she was really friendly. She happily took our demo saying that they love hearing new bands and told us to email them and whatnot. Very cool as well. I shook her hand. Mmmmm....Stars.
