Concert Review: Readymade with guests Hinterland and Windows '78
I'd seen the first two bands before (Hinterland and Windows '78) so not much new there. I like Windows '78. They have great harmonies between the two guitars. The vocals are very mellow and relaxing. Hinterland's vocals on the other hand are harsh and abrasive. The lead singer (female) has an ok voice but she puts all these wierd effects on there that do add to the spaciness of the show, but become annoying after awhile. The melodies aren't memorable and it got old by the end of the set.
We only stayed for 3 of Readymade's songs. Their recording sounded better than they did live. Another relaxing, semi-boring band that I just couldn't stay awake for. Check out their website on www.newmusiccanada.com, it's pretty good.
