Today, I'm going to go to church, and then spending the rest of the day at the lake. Deer Lake, that is. I'm going to bring a book, possibly even a guitar, and try to tan my freaking white legs. That's the plan anyway.

And yesterday, I went to Hastings Park with Rachel and her friend Heather, and they brought me some good luck. I won $45 off a $2 bet!!!! I was soooo happy. So after the races, I hopped on the skytrain and headed downtown. Ended up stopping by Amelia's workplace to say hi and they let her off early so that was excellent. We grabbed some Subway and walked down to the beach. It was lovely. There are interesting people to watch on the beach. These dudes were breakdancing and beatboxing, and this really strange lady sitting behind us was talking to herself. There were other people too, but I won't get into too much detail. Anyway, walking back down Denman to catch the bus, we ran into Tiffany and her dad Damon having dinner at one of those tables on the sidewalk. So that was nice, got to chat with them a bit. Then we went home, and I went to bed. And now it is today. And it is good.

Well the allergies are finally under control, thank you Flonase. Mmmmmm...allergy drugs. Anyway, just wanted to mention how much fun I had at the show last nite. The best part (for me) was the response we got. People had good things to say! I felt way more comfortable being up there than I had in the past. Epoxy Ruin was great too, and super nice people as well. I hope we get to play with them again. That is all.

June 16th, the day my allergic reactions began. Every year around the middle of June (last year it was the 14th) it hits me without warning. I can't see, my nose is running like a Kenyan, and I get very irritable. So that happened yesterday around 9am. By 11am, I asked if I could go to the medical clinic to get a prescription for some allergy drugs. So (thanks Shane) I went to the clinic and had to wait 50 minutes to see a doctor. Thankfully he was very easygoing and gave me just what I wanted. Then I headed up to London Drugs to get the script filled. That took another half hour. While paying for it, however, my bank card refused to work. So I had to book it back to Saturn, pick up my cellphone, dial 411 and ask to talk to my bank. They had forgotten to remove the hold on my paycheck, so that was fine, and then back to London Drugs. Alas, after this three hour ordeal, I went back to work and tried my best to do a good job. But I ended up leaving early, and today I called in sick. Here's to a day of lazing around the house with a kleenex stuck up my nose! Amelia's coming over to make me lunch, what a sweetheart. I really hope these drugs kick in soon, because we have band practice tonite, and a gig tomorrow nite. If you can, say a little prayer for me, it would be much appreciated.
