I just got back from a lovely afternoon spent with my Grandparents who are house-sitting in Langley. My Grandma made us rollkuchen, watermelon and zummaborscht for lunch, and later we had tea with plum pie and puffed wheat squares. Mmmmm. So much eating. It was very nice to see them again.
The first week of work was pretty good. There are a lot of things to learn: all the different food items, where they go, who uses them, along with all the different names of the chefs and other employees, the paperwork that goes along with all the product, and the order that everything is done. It's really not that much I guess, but let's just say it takes a bit more brain work than washing cars (which didn't take much at all).
And it's freaking tiring to get up at 4:30am every morning. And then work till 8pm. But I'm going to stick it out as long as I can.
So for all those who are in the Vancouver area, Bella will be playing a show at Richards on Richards on August 26th. The doors open around 9pm but I'm not sure when we're on.

wow! i have to admit...it's a litte crazy to hear you all grown up...to see you all grown up. where's that cute little guy from camp? ok, so you're still cute, but you're not little. i feel very old.
i'm proud of you matt! it looks like you've done good and that you are making something of yourself & enjoying your life, as you should.
