Do you ever feel like you're crazy? I felt like that today. Sort of seperated from everything and everyone that's around me. I went downtown because I needed to get out of the house. I'm reading "IT", by Stephen King. Good book. I read all the way there, had a pita wrap, an apple cider, and a cigarette (I know I'm a bad person because of that) while sitting at Blenz. And I read all the way back home. It takes about an hour to get downtown. I didn't even notice.

This wierd mood is hard to explain. It's like being lonely, sort of, except there are millions of people around. I had lunch plans which had to be cancelled. I feel like talking to somebody, but I don't have the nerve. I just wanted to forget about life for an afternoon and it worked. Now I'm back at home, and wondering what my next move will be. Something big has got to happen. I guess you could say I'm bored. And discontent. I mean there are certain things which are really good, namely, Bella, Amelia, the friends that I do have out here. But something is missing.

I've been thinking more about that cabin on a lake idea, and it's sticking. I'm going to get a dog, and have a studio there, where people can come and live, record, or just relax. There's going to be a canoe, or several, and a dock for fishing. Food will come from the garden, whatever can be grown there, and the rest from town I suppose. I just have to figure out how to impliment this idea. That's always the hard part.

I'm getting a free couch and loveseat this week that will be going in my room. I'm planning on reupholstering them with a nice chocolate brown fabric. It should be an interesting experiment. The couch is super comfortable, and good for sleeping on. So if anyone needs a place to crash...

Speaking of which I'm looking foward to seeing a very good friend of mine in November, a friend whom I haven't seen in much too long. See you soon, dude...

So I'm reading this biography of Neil Young called, Neil and Me, written by Scott Young, Neil's dad. It's so inspiring. It makes me want to buy a house on a lake and live on the land and make music. Which I fully intend on doing at some point in my life. I'm currently recording like mad, and it's going really well. I'm actually happy with some of the stuff I'm doing, which is rare. Go to www.myspace.com/matthutchings if you're interested in listening. I just put a few new ones up the other day, and I'll continue posting new ones till all are done.

So if anyone wants to pitch in and buy a house on a lake where we can all live happily and make music, let me know and I'll look into it. I haven't got much, but if we get enough people.....

So far today I have looked at the clock at 11:11am, and 1:11pm. I take this as a sign that I'm on the right track. Today I'm rerecording a song entitled "Fields of Green". I have it posted on Myspace, but I'm not very happy with that version, so I added some stuff. And took out some stuff. Now it's time to warm up my vocal chords, so I'm drinking a cup of green tea, and taking a small break.
