New changes. I gave my notice at the Sheraton today. I'm starting a new job on August 8th with a company called Ryder Transportation and Logistics. I get to go to Regina for a week of paid training! Then I will be driving around Saskatoon, delivering stuff to people. The reasons for this change are: a) the money is much better, b) it's a daytime job, and c) benefits after 30 days (dentist, here I come!).
So to all you people that I never see because of working nights....no more. I should have sufficient time off to do things. Go to shows, hang out with family, friends, work on music and painting projects....etc..etc...
Anyway, I'm stoked. And I'm going to bed.

Today there were two little people (midgets) making out in the restaurant at work. So cute. And then a drunken native man started talking to me in the bar, saying how great we all are here at the Sheraton. People who aren't normal make me smile.
I had a good night at work, although it went by berry, berry slowly. I think I'm going to leave early. That is all.

It's been a great weekend. I got to spend some time with my family, my sister let me borrow her car while she was away, was able to catch up with two good friends, played some frisbee, had some brunch, did some painting, and had a meeting with the bank. Am I ever productive these days. Not to mention 3 posts in the last week.
The bank told me that I could get financing for my education no problem. So that's one obstacle out of the way. I'm pretty excited about learning stuff. Who would have thought? If anyone wants to teach me French in their spare time, it would be much appreciated. I can teach guitar in return, or make you dinners, or paint you a picture.
My mom gave me an electric kettle today. I'm in love. No longer do I have to boil water for tea on the stove! It's amazing, and it's fast. Thanks Mom.

My keyboard and guitar are collecting dust. I think part of the problem is my love for Cameron's microphone, the Rode NTK. My brain thinks that without this top notch method of recording, anything I might possibly come up with is a pointless endeavor. This seems very silly, but I'm pretty sure it's the case. So if anyone has an NTK that they want to sell to me for $50, or give to me for free, let me know:)
Until then, I'm going to have to put my foot down and start playing music again. And that's that.
But now I'm going to paint my flower pots and listen to Frente. Yikes.

I bought some plants today. I was in Extra foods doing some shopping, and they had 4inch plants there for $2.49. What a deal! Or at least I thought it was a good deal. So I got five. Now my house looks like a jungle. And I've been painting a bunch lately. It's a new love. I have no idea really of what I'm doing. There a brush, some paint, water, canvas, and some music playing sometimes. And then stuff happens. I'm almost done my first large one. It's very colorful and I think it's interesting. If you're not busy you can come have a look.
I also bought cherries. I LOVE cherries. They remind me of BC. Probably because they're from BC. Speaking of BC, the Rentals are playing a show with Ozma in Vancouver this fall. After I move away, two of my favorite bands decide to reunite and play in the city I used to live in. Those bastards.
I have decided that I'm going to study politics in university. I may start taking one or two classes this fall, depending on what I can get into. Next fall will be when I start full time. I figure by then I can have some loans paid off, and save up a bit of cash to pay for it all.
My parents are moving away from Dalmeny! Can you believe it? The house I spent high school in is sold. August 1st is the big day. Yikes. No more Sunday afternoons visiting the parents in the country. I'm happy for them though. And it will be nice to not have to make the drive out there if I just want to pop in.
I'm going to try and start writing in here more often. I'm sorry I've been such a slacker. Feel free to hit me. Bye!
